What To Buy For The (Future) King According to Karl Lagerfeld, Dior & Vera Wang

Aside from being the most famous newborn of all time, Baby Cambridge is set to be amongst the best dressed infants the world has ever seen. With a style icon for a mum and pretty much every fashion brand in the world vying to clothe the new HRH, Suri et al better be quaking in their designer boots, becasue there's a new cool kid in town.

To illustrate the point, WWD has gathered together a super-cute collection of gift sketches for the royal baby, as imagined by the best designers in the business. So what would be in their gift bags? Karl Lagerfeld has designed a wonderfully regal dummy while Christian Lacroix has created a characteristically flamboyant buggy-carriage hybrid and two of the most striking babygros we’ve ever clapped our eyes on. Elsewhere, Dior has put together a pretty white knitted trouser, cardi and hat combo and Vera Wang has come up with an ultra-luxe baby rattle and matching bracelet fit for the baby prince.

Another of our favourite gift ideas comes from Dean & Dan Caten of DSquared who have dreamt up a Sex Pistols style God Save The Queen tee for the bouncing babe. They also sketched the royal progeny complete with a mini Mohican, which we think offers great hair-spiration for the young royal couple. So click through the gallery below and check out what the designers have come up for the Royal Baby gift bonanza!
