Best party of 2014 so far? Last night’s star-studded opening of David Bailey’s new Stardust exhibition at the National Portrait Gallery. Okay, so clearly, Kate Moss’ 40th birthday bash takes prime spot as the best party of the year so far, but as our invite, ahem, seemed to get lost in the post, we’re here to tell you that Mr Bailey’s was also pretty good too.
In association with Hugo Boss, the bash was certainly star-studded with many faces from the legendary photographer’s portraits in attendance. Original Seventies sirens Jerry Hall and Marie Helvin, Grayson Perry and, erm, Graham Norton added to the eclectic guest list. And of course, the one and only Ms Kate Moss.

Kate then led the proceedings to the after-party at the Groucho Club where we spent an awfully long time chatting the very handsome and very charming Mr Hudson. After a name-dropping competition (which he won with Miley Cyrus and Rankin compared to our Henry Holland) Mr Hudson told us about his new video with said Miley Cyrus that had just been released yesterday and already had millions of hits. Then it was off to the outdoor smoking section to catch up with Moss.

What we spotted: a number of female admirers ribbing Mr Bailey about his bohemian ensemble.
What we loved: the new pre-fall BOSS selected by Jason Wu collection as modelled by Caroline Issa.
What we drank: Too many Ciroc vodka cocktails for a Monday night.
