With London Fashion Week over and the hysteria around Harry's hair dying down, we worried that real life wouldn't feel quite as magical - but then last night happened, reminding us that life as a Graziette is full of surprises. We were nominated at the 2013 PPA Digital Awards for not one but TWO gongs and pulled on our glad rags for a night of nail-biting.
Rick Edwards was our host at the swanky London ceremony and kept the crowd entertained with his general handsomeness as well as LOLs about being a blogger (he once wrote for the Huffington Post, dontcha know). He threatened to wrestle winners to the ground if they made a speech, giving us even more incentive to scoop our gongs for Innovation of the Year and Digital Brand of the Year.
And guess what? We won! Yes, Art Director Jonathan Clayton Jones and Specials Director Victoria Harper took to the stage to pick up the Innovation of the Year accolade thanks to their work on the Grazia iPad App (it really is good). Mere minutes later, they were back up on stage with Digital Editor Jessica Vince and Assistant Editor Hattie Brett to collect the award for Digital Brand of the Year - again for our iPad, work with FashTag and this very site, Grazia Daily. No biggie, right?
It's just further proof that Grazia continues to be on top of its game across all platforms and none of it could be done without our beloved readers. Bring on the champers!
