We Get A Taster Of Grammys Style At Clive Davis' Pre-Gala Party

26 January 2014 by

The 56th of Clive Davis' annual Grammy awards pre-gala shindig handily gave us just a taste of the red carpet looks to come at the glitzy ceremony. We've already been dreaming about our perfect looks for our favourite stars (Beyonce in Tom Ford perhaps? Or Rihanna in spanking new Chanel Couture? We can only hope), but last night was a pleasing starter, whetting our appetite for the feast tonight.

Miley Cyrus, always guaranteed to raise a few eyebrows with her ensembles, gave us a pleasingly cute and kitsch and rather non-controversial look of a lilac fuzzy coat over a white mini dress. Her performance of 'Get It Right' was met with a flat applause according to The Huffington Post, but her rendition of Dolly Parton's 'Jolene' was far more successful. Her fuzzy coat must have helped get her into character.

Other fab looks came courtesy of Jennifer Hudson who looked seriously chic in a Christopher Kane Resort look. Taylor Swift wore a short and sassy black dress from Zuhair Murad Resort while Rita Ora wore her third Alexandre Vauthier Couture look: a sporty embellished shirt dress with matching bomber.

As for 17 year-old star Lorde, who is nominated for both Record and Single of The Year, performed at the show in a confident and directional look of cropped black sweater with wide-leg black pants. She posed later with Grammys veteran and seven time winner Swifty, but somehow managed to look more relaxed and mature than the glitter-clad Taylor who is nominated for three awards this time round.
