Claire Danes appears on one of the most talked about shows of the century, has the best crying face ever and a well-stocked trophy cabinet. Oh and let's not forget she snogged Leo DiCaprio in Romeo and Juliet. But she's also hot fashion property, as it looks like the industry has paid attention to her red carpet style. Claire was given the nod of approval by Anna Wintour as she appeared on the November issue of American Vogue, but she hasn't left the newsstands for long, as she's bagged also an Interview Magazine cover.
Claire Danes works a dark copper lip and golden eye shadow, with her hair styled in sleek Hollywood curls. The look is very luxurious, as she wears a fur stole and black cami top and then a black tuxedo with nothing but gold cuffs. Claire shows off her incredibly toned figure as she goes topless, covering her modesty with expertly placed hands.
Inside the mag Claire is interviewed by the great Dustin Hoffman, and talks about the differences between working on My So Called Life and Homeland. She says of My So Called Life: 'I was the same age as the character. There was an incredible symmetry between us-unlike Carrie Mathison, who in no way resembles me. I would be the worst case officer on the planet. I am so ill-suited to Carrie's vocation. But Angela Chase was just another high school student.'
Claire says: 'I'd actually only done one series before Homeland and I was 14 when I did it, and we only made 19 episodes-so Homeland has really been my first time aging with a character and experiencing her develop and change.' She added: 'I know Mandy Patinkin's (her character's boss and mentor Saul Berenson) process-I know his music and how to run and to play with it. It's such a gift to get to know an actor over this many years-and always in a new context. It's like being in a marriage.'
Hoffman and Danes compare how they prepare for roles, as Claire reveals she watched diary videos on YouTube. She explains: 'I think they are just up in the middle of the night and need to talk, so they talk into the camera on their computer. I think a lot of these people are also very eager to share what they're going through because I'm sure it is quite isolating and scary at times. So I would just binge on these.'
