Christy Turlington Reprises Her Role As Face of Calvin Klein Eternity

Christy Turlington, the original face of Calvin Klein’s iconic Eternity scent has retuned to her role, fronting the new A/W 2014 campaign. In a real-life twist, this time around, she’s brought her husband, filmmaker Ed Burns into the picture.

Christy talked about the experience of working with her other half to WWD, “We continue to joke about [the shoot] because it’s much easier to do something like this with someone you know so well and that you’re intimate with in real life, but on the other hand, it’s also funny to be intimate with your life partner and have people around,” Turlington Burns said. “In the beginning we were pretty giggly. And after the first day, [Ed] said to me, ‘I’m so glad you’re not doing this with somebody else.’ I said, ‘I wouldn’t be doing this with someone else.’ Usually you pretend to be intimate on these types of campaigns, and when they go to change a lens or the roll of film is complete, you’re like, ‘So, how about those Mets?’ It’s just awkward.”

The campaign was shot in Turks & Cacois by Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin and the couple will appear in both print and television advertising for the perfume, starting in June. As part of the collaboration, Calvin Klein will be supporting Christy’s charity Every Mother Counts with the Eternity Project – for one week starting May 30th, 100% of the proceeds from the US sales of Calvin Klein’s Eternity 25th Anniversary Edition bottles will be donated to the model’s charity.
