Miss Sevigny at the Barney's Chloe 60th Anniversary part last night: wearing a Karl Lagerfeld vintage Chloé guitar dress from the '80s

Thanks to Barney’s department store throwing a bash last night in celebration of the 60th anniversary of French brand Chloé we’ve discovered some interesting new facts about our other favourite Chloe, Chloë Sevigny. Why? Well, Miss Sevigny has a long-standing relationship with the label which was founded by ultra-chic Parisian-Egyptian Gaby Aghion in 1952 – she’s often been spotted wearing the collections, attending the shows and was chosen the face of their fragrance campaign in 2007 - so it was no great surprise that the style icon took up the role of hostess with the mostess for such a special occasion. In the process we discovered the following:

Chloe collects Chloe!:

Miss Sevigny may be known for her X-Girl, Proenza Schouler and Opening Ceremony connections, but this little lady – sidenote: with the best legs in fashiontown – is a big collector of vintage Chloé. In fact, last night’s ensemble was not a new runway piece from Claire Waight Keller’s latest, but a cut-away dress from Karl Lagerfeld’s tenure at the house in the 1980s. She told Fashionista.com that she started seeking out early ‘70s pieces from the label when she first got into vintage shopping.

She has over, maybe, 2000 pairs of shoes:

The world's most famous shoe hoarder Imelda Marcos claimed to have in excess of 3000 pairs, so Chloë has ample time to work on fattening up her already impressive bounty. Puts Jenna Lyons and her 289 pairs in the shade, doesn’t it? Rather than a super-duper walk in shoe-wardrobe, Sevigny told Refinery 29 that she keeps her in a storage facility in Connecticut. Sev – if you need anyone to look after them instead, we’ll take on the challenge.

Chloë Sevigny *heart* Chloé: Here she is in two different short ensembles from the Paris Fashion Week design house

She was always gifted Chloe perfume for every birthday and Christmas:

“When I was little I got Chloé perfume, every birthday, every Christmas, from extended family members,” she said to Fashionista.com.

And that her firstname isn’t as elegant as she thought:

“I didn’t know any other Chloes. I lived in a really small town so to me it seemed really chic, my name, because with the perfume and whatnot. But now everybody’s named Chloe and everybody’s dog is named Chloe and it’s not as elegant a name to me anymore.”
