Chime For Change Announce London Concert! Beyonce, Ellie Goulding and Florence + The Machine To Perform

UPDATE

Chime For Change Co-founder and Artistic Director, Beyoncé, has spoken about the woman who has most inspired her in a short video for Gucci’s new global campaign for girls’ and women’s empowerment - and the woman in question is her mother, Tina Knowles. The songstress describes her mother’s natural ability to see the beauty in every human being, and her gift of understanding and helping people become the very best of themselves. Chime For Change Announce London Concert!

This morning was a very exciting one. Grazia headed to the Soho Hotel where Chime For Change – a global campaign for girls’ and women’s empowerment founded by Gucci – made a very special announcement.

This summer, on June the 1st, there will be a concert to end all concerts. The Sound Of Change Live will have none other than the campaigns artistic director BEYONCE! headlining. And, as if that wasn’t amazing enough, there will be a whole host of other inspiration women there as well. From Florence and the Machine, to HAIM, Rita Ora and super cool new Australian rapper Iggy Azalea. Yes, there has been some squealing in the office this morning.

Speaking at the launch Salma Hayek, who is on the committee for Chime for Change said she aims to ‘turn awareness into meaningful action,’ whilst Beyoncé reavealed in a video for the campaign, ‘We need to call for change in the loudest voice possible. ‘I am excited for us to come together on June 1st to bring the issues of Education, Health and Justice for girls and women to the world stage.’

Rose Miller (Mon Apr 01 11:15:12 BST 2013): I’m a great fan of Ellie Goulding and I really appreciate her songs and her singing style. She has a charming and worm voice. She’s a great artist. I got tickets for her Nashville event expected in May from www.ticketsinventory and I’m looking forward to attend.
