Gracing FROW's and best dressed lists the world over ever since the age of 12 (!), everyone's fave child blogger Tavi Gevinson has blossomed in front of our very eyes, transformation complete in the recently unveiled Cole Haan's holiday campaign, of which she is the (stupendously beautiful) face. It may not be her first campaign, having previously teamed up with Cyndi Lauper and Uniqlo, but we almost had to do a double take at how very much she echoes Michelle Williams, particularly during the My Week With Marilyn era, blonde bob, arched eyebrows and matching cherry nails and dress; every inch an elegant young lady and seemingly worlds away from her former kooky dress sense. Oh my, how you've grown! was the word on everyone's lips at Grazia HQ, all the while we desperately tried not to sound like our distant relatives who can't help but pinch our cheeks and utter that phrase each and every time they see us.
The campaign's 'talented and gifted' theme, which, according to Haan aims to feature "up-and-coming fresh faces of today who are making good things happen," also features several other wunderkinds, the likes of The Truth - a heavy metal band made up of three 13 year olds - while previous campaigns have featured China Machado, a Pulitzer-prize winner and astronaut. Very good company, indeed, then, considering the now 17-year-old has already helmed a magazine, given some kick-ass TED talks, tried her hand at acting and singing and has twice appeared on the Forbes 30 Under 30 Media List. Mind.Blown. BRB, we've got some catching up to do.
