Chic-scapades! Fendi Launches Super-Fun Arcade Games At Harrods

04 June 2014 by

Who else could turn the arcade favourite claw games and smash-em machines into a haven of fashion luxury? Why Harrods of course. Playtime has gone all glossy on the ground floor of the iconic Knightsbridge store today, in celebration of Fendi’s new Pre-Fall collection.

An exclusive emerald Peekaboo bag spins atop a golden carousel within the Fendi Fun pop-up (mini colourways with contrast clasps in the new season's primary colours are adorable too). Meanwhile, a mini Karlita bag bug (fashion’s favourite critters that swing from your purse – Cara D carried a similar Karl Lagerfeld shaped version down the SS’14 catwalk) hops in and out of a shiny whack-a-rat hole: presumably the first time Sir Karl's semblance has done such a thing. These games are most certainly for the grown-ups.

All of these antics are in aid of the rather lovely and versatile new By The Way bag, which a very happy shopper can have engraved with their initials - in either English OR Arabic (this is a first for the store who can famously get you anything your heart desires). With doll-sized handbags, plenty of neon lights and a rainbow of spanking new coats (there's something for the girliest and most grown-up of us, from pastels to jewel tones) we were like kids in a sartorial sweetshop.

We say go get stuck-in some Fendi fun between now and the 28th June. If only we could actually win one of these beauties with a simple golden claw - if ever we wanted to grab something more than that holographic Pikachu lunch box in Cromer, it would be one of these.
