‘UN GRAND MAGASIN POUR UN GRAND PALAIS’; a big shop for a big palace read the signs at Chanel – and that was about right. Models pushing shopping trolleys around aisles piled high with Tweed Coca Light (famously Karl Lagerfeld’s favourite tipple) and Jambon Cambon (a play on the house’s iconic address) were quite possibly the best-dressed shoppers ever witnessed.

As part of our Fashion Week 360 mission, bringing you an all-angles pass to shows around the world, Grazia was there to soak up all the action. The Chanel experience began at the fitting just days before where our fashion director, Susannah Frankel, witnessed Monsieur Lagerfeld adjusting the corsets that could be loosened with zip fastenings and trialling the laced trainers. Meanwhile, the Chanel suit was light and youthful with what looked like snow flurries embroidered on its surface.

On the day of the show, the likes of Cara Delevingne and Kendall Jenner had their tresses wrapped into dreads by hair pro, Sam McKnight. The ponytails were exaggerated with crimped extensions, braided tweed rags, lace and pearls. The hair look was complemented by neon-bright eye shadow perfect for a night on the tiles.
Out on the front row, Rihanna, Keira Knightley and Vanessa Paradis took their VIP seats before the collection hit the catwalk to much applause. 'The Chanel girl is a girl who goes even in her Chanel clothes to the supermarket,' Karl told us of his Autumn Winter 2014 creations. Click play below for the full 360-degree view...
