Couture Fashion Week may be all about the revered runway collections, but on the front rows, there’s a ton of style action to coo over too. Naturally, the dress code is super-smart, but that doesn't mean ballgowns a-go-go. Instead, the FROW’s most fancy have descended onto the rues of Paris in an array of edgy ensembles.
Take Jennifer Lopez who rocked up to the Versace show, which opened the Autumn Winter 2014 show season, in a floor-length white gown. But hang on - what's under there? Poking out from under the skirt was one be-trousered leg covered in sequins. How fabulous! JLo posed outside the show, arm in arm with Donatella, showcasing the designer's fabulous new twist on a va-va-voom gown: the dress-trouser hybrid. Or should that be The Tress? The jury's out on that one. Either way, Donatella returned the favour by blasting the singer's new track So Good from her new album, AKA, while the likes of Jourdan Dunn stormed the catwalk in their own 'tresses'. Considering this is the partnership that brought us THIS, we can only hope the love-in continues.

Onto the Dior show, which took place on Monday afternoon. You can read Susannah Frankel's show report here, but the action was just as marvellous off the catwalk with Dior beauties Jennifer Lawrence (is that a holiday tan you have there missy?) and Marion Cotillard looking more ladylike than ever, as well as Emma Watson and Charlize Theron putting in glitzy appearances.

Naturallment, the Chanel extravanganza provided us with plenty of best-dressed action too. Kristen Stewart threatened to hog the limelight thanks to a pair of sheer white bloomers - yikes! - and her brand new hair-do. Yep, K-Stew has got the chop! Alice Dellal also showcased a surprising transformation and looked as sweet as pie with blonde waves, a blue turtle neck, floral jeans and ladylike pointed black heels. Eh? What happened to the grungey black leather and edgy undercut? The mind boggles!

But the unexpected Couture FROWer of the week is undoubtedly Jared Leto. The Hollywood actor rocked up to the Chanel and Armani shows and has been spotted schmoozing at events around Paris all week. We're mighty taken by those gold trousers, JL.
And let's not forget Kim Kardashian who made quite the enterance at the Valentino show wearing a form-fitting gown with a plunging neckline and gathered together as many umbrella-holding men as possible as she sauntered in to take her seat. Ooh la la indeed.
