Grazia's Katherine Ormerod with Cara Delevingne

Wilderness has become the go-to festi-nation for fashion folk with a hankering for a Midsummer's Night Dream-esque commune with the forest. So it made the perfect fit for Cara Delevingne - a well known fluffy animal lover- to host a picnic to celebrate her collection with British luxury brand Mulberry.

We were lucky enough to be invited along for the ride and started our journey to Cara-land bright and early at Claridges Hotel where we breakfasted on delicious bacon rolls and boarded buses headed for Oxfordshire's Cornbury Park. The beautiful estate provided the venue for the annual Wilderness and we arrived to our bijoux tents in the boutique glamping area.

We then made our way to the private walled garden where Mulberry had created an idyllic picnic spot complete with hay bales, a specially made 'Cara-van' and hundreds of balloons. Picnic baskets were filled with homegrown treats from cob nuts to purple carrots and champagne was served in vintage saucer glasses.

As for Cara, she was in full Wilderness mode sporting dinosaur sunglasses and silky PJ Mulberry bottoms. She told us that she is the biggest fan of Mulberry's Cara bag and 'is always carrying about three at a time.' While she hadn't made her mind up about staying over for the evening, she was planning her birthday which is just around the corner.

After the picnic we milled around the face painting and flower garland stalls, before heading to Mark Hix's restaurant. Supping on roast chicken and ham terrine, we geared up for an evening of revelry with the hillside bonfire lighting our way to join the wild ones in the forest valley.
