Model Cara Delevingne was the star of the Chanel show today (once again), walking through the Chanel supermarket holding hands with her Uncle Karl. She might be one of the biggest models on the planet, but today we're also talking about her blossoming acting career.

Yep Cara has ANOTHER role to add to her IMBD page, as today it has been confirmed that Cara D will make her TV debut in a new drama Timeless alongside Sylvia Syms. So this is what we know. Cara will play a young woman whose fiance is serving in Afghanistan, and follows her relationship with her great grandmother. The show will air on Sky Arts, as part of a series of dramas for Playhouse. She is joining an impressive list of actors who are in the series, as Matthew Perry, Jo Brand and Ben Whishaw are all signed up.

Over the past year Cara has been taking her acting career up a notch, as she is starring alongside Amber Heard, Jim Sturgess and Billy Bob Thornton in the film adaptation of London Fields by Martin Amis. She has also appeared in Anna Karenina and British flick Kids in Love. Plus Cara is playing Melanie, a central character, in director Michael Winterbottom’s The Face Of An Angel.

It's not surprising Cara has bagged another role as she said to Grazia Daily last year: 'Acting has always been my dream, even more than modelling.' We spoke to Cara about filming Kids In Love back in September and she said of her move into acting ‘It wasn’t a conscious thing. I just suddenly got one movie and then another one and then another one.’ She added: 'That's what I want to do so it's a transition I'm going to make.'
