Back in December last year Cara Delevingne was unveiled as the face of New York label DKNY's Spring Summer 2013 campaign. Cut to seven months later and the model has bagged ads for just about every luxury brand going from Mulberry to Fendi. We thought that 2012 was her year, what with winning a British Fashion Awards and dominating the runways, but in terms of exposure 2013 has seen her catapult into the realm of global superstar.
And now we come full circle as DKNY's Autumn Winter 2013 campaign launches, and guess what, Cara's still the girl of the moment. This time there's a video too which features the 20-year-old Londoner strutting her stuff around the Big Apple like Carrie Bradshaw only wished she could. She jumps on top of taxis, has a fight with a pretzel and watches on as artist Curtis Kulig tags cars using a special design for DKNY as well as 'Cara hearts NY'.
Meanwhile male model Ollie Edwards has his life transformed from grey suits to technicolour with the help of London's party girl du jour and her Times Square party. The promo features muted tones, but Cara's DKNY wardrobe, along with a bustle of yellow New York taxicabs, brings a pop of colour to the scene including a pink coat and pink dress. The model also wears a signature 'D' necklace, for DKNY - and Delevingne of course.
