We've said it before and we'll say it again: there really is something about Cara Delevingne. We literally can. not. get. enough. of this girl, from her goofball faces to her tomboyish wardrobe and those mega brows. So on the day of her 21st birthday (here's to you, missy!), we've rounded up the best bits of her past year - and what a year it's been! From making pals with Rihanna and Leonardo to bagging every campaign going and hitting a few catwalks along the way, here's how the past 12 months has shaped up for our Cara and here's to another corker...
Rumours were rife in September that the model was dating teen dream Harry Styles. So it made for tantalisingly awkward viewing when Mr Styles took a FROW spot at the Burberry show in February to see a scantily-clad Cara strut her stuff on the catwalk. It was a match made in glossy-haired heaven...
And Cara didn't just catch the eye of Harry. In fact, another teen heartthrob was left open-mouthed when Cara hit the Victoria's Secret for the very first time. It was announced in October that Cara would be walking for the lingerie giant, earning her wings alongside previous Angels including Miranda Kerr and Gisele Bundchen. Talk about nailing the phwoar factor!
Congrats to Cara who scooped the Model of the Year gong at the British Fashion Awards. Grazia Daily was on the red carpet to chat to the blonde beauty to discuss everything from hanging out with Rihanna to walking for Victoria's Secret. Witness her excitement in the video below...
In between watching TV Christmas specials and stuffing our faces with mini mince pies (they're smaller so you can have more), we were glued to Cara's Instagram feed. And how did the Delevingnes spend the yuletide? In a Santa Claus onesie, natch!
Thanks to LOVE magazine, the world was treated to a video of everyone's favourite model dressed up as Catwoman herself. As well as donning a minxy latex mask and black satin Dolce & Gabbana bra, Cara mimed along to the Shania Twain classic 'That Don't Impress Me Much' complete with kitty on her knee and major talons. Genius!
The fashion week circuit began and Cara was at the forefront of every catwalk show worth its sartorial salt. In Paris, she got us squealing when she revealed Grazia is her favourite magazine (obvs) after walking for H&M and impressed us by working her singing skills for Hogan. It's no wonder she trademarked her name.
Cara has become our number one onesie wearer and in March, we saw her making like Miley Cyrus by donning a Topshop creation. The model of the moment showcased hers while larking about with pals in New York and proved that all you need is a dinosaur-inspired onesie to look both cute as a button - and a touch 'hood.
Cara joined forces with her model BFF Jourdan Dunn to cook up a storm - or rather sweet and sour prawn tempura. Yes, the blonde beauty popped up as a sous chef on Episode 1 of Jourdan's cooking show. As you might expect, she pulled a different wacktacular face every few seconds and that dino onesie made another appearance...
May was a busy month for Cara. After rocking the Met Ball with Sienna Miller, the star hit the Cannes Film Festival thanks to an invite from Mr Leonardo DiCaprio - and managed to resist his advances. Along the way, she got herself several tattoos, starting with this one of a lion, which came courtesy of Rihanna's favourite tattoo artist, Bang Bang. Fierce!
Another week, another fashion campaign snagged! This time around, it was for home-grown brand Mulberry who tapped the 20-year old’s star power for Autumn Winter 2013. Shot by the fanatical fantasy photographer Tim Walker and co-starring a parliament of owls, the campaign showcases the brand’s hot new Willow tote. So why did Ms D decide to be Mulberry’s face this season? We caught up with the young model to hear how she feels about her tie in.
Grazia revealed the best dressed stars of summer and guess who topped the list? Yep, Ms Delevingne and her surely heaving wardrobe of cheeky T-shirts. We love that her wacky persona doesn't begin and end with the funny face pulling - from asking us to 'Squeeze This' in regards to Rihanna's bottom, to declaring her love for the '90s, there's no message or motif the model hasn't managed to share. She's even taken them to the red carpet, and a flurry of designers have followed suit, creating 'novel-tees' featuring the goofy girl in question.
Rumours surfaced that Cara has bagged a role on the silver screen. Kids In Love, a drama about a group of hard-partying young people living in London, will be directed by Cara's pal Preston Thompson. Next stop: the Oscars!
