British Fashion Awards 2013: J.W. Anderson Wins New Establishment Designer

02 December 2013 by

At last year's award J.W. Anderson was presented with the Emerging Talent Award, and this year he’s won again, as tonight he was named the New Establishment Designer for 2013. His award was presented by model the breathtakingly beautiful Arizona Muse. J Dubs had a number of A List cheerleaders in the audience tonight, as the likes of Alexa Chung and Pixie Geldof are big fans of Mr Anderson. The designer had a long list of people to thank, including his team as he said: 'My team are my family I spend 24 hours a day with them!'

The British Fashion Council comments that ‘this award celebrates London’s unique talents as they transition from emerging talent to brand whilst taking the industry by storm.’ It’s certainly been a good year for J Dubs, as LVMH took a minority stake in Anderson's business sending the label into the big leagues.

Plus the 29-year-old took creative helm at Loewe, which he described as the ‘Oxford University’ of luxury goods. The sought after designer has also produced successful collaborations with Topshop and Versace Versus - taking over from fellow London Fashion Week designer, Christopher Kane. He has created a number of cult pieces, including that it knit bat jumper.
