British Fashion Awards 2012: Kim Jones for Louis Vuitton Wins Menswear Designer Award

28 November 2012

This year's Menswear Designer of the year at the British Fashion Awards went to Kim Jones for Louis Vuitton. The designer was presented the trophy by a very pregnant Lily Cooper (née Allen) who earlier in the evening on the red carpet told Grazia Daily that she was wearing "a tent". Before announcing the winner of the award Lily told the crowd "I'm going to cut to the chase because I might actually wee myself." In his acceptance speech Kim exclaimed "It's nice to be back in London. Thank you for your support and thank you for having me."

Having only just presented his third men's collection at Paris Fashion Week in September, it's obvious to us here at Grazia how much the street-savvy designer has developed leaps and bounds since joining Louis Vuitton. The Central Saint Martin's graduate has updated the feel of the luxurious label, dressing the powerful Vuitton man of every age, and preparing him for an adventure around the world and back!
