British Fashion Awards 2012: All The Dresses!

Phewf! What a night. They say the British Fashion Awards is the hottest night in the fashion calendar and tonight's shindig proved the sentiment true. You've seen all the winners but what of the Best Dressed? For starters, we have Model of the Year Cara Delevingne getting wrapped up like a shiny Christmas present in her metallic Burberry frock. She was joined by blonde bombshell Rita Ora who was swathed in a Vivienne Westwood gown to perform during the ceremony, before she changed into a more comfy all-white ensemble.

Many a starlet turned to the form-fitting charms of Stella McCartney, from Victoria Pendleton and Amber Valetta to Amber Le Bon, so it's no wonder the Brit designer picked up two gongs for all her marvellous work. As for this year's dollop of Hollywood glitz, we had Andrea Riseborough presenting the Red Carpet Award to Roksanda Ilincic, Gemma Arterton hosting the show alongside Nick Grimshaw and none other than Salma Hayek! giving us a twirl on the red carpet in her fringed frock by, yup, Ms McCartney.

A very pregnant Lily Allen also came out of red-carpet-hibernation to honour her designer bestie, Kim Jones, who scooped the Menswear Designer Award for his work with Louis Vuitton. Did you know Lils and Kim used to live together? Uh-huh. And, as predicted, there was a touch of actual royalty in the fine form of Princess Beatrice, kitted out in an Erdem dress.

As well as a swarm of newbies - hello Lily Collins! - there were the usual stylish suspects. Our beloved Alexa Chung, who scored an almighty hat-trick tonight, looked as cool as ever in an embroidered LBD teamed with super-cool Nicholas Kirkwood heels. She was seen having a giggle with a newly-cropped Pixie Geldof who showcased a short 'do in a vibrant orange frock.

In the gallery above, you'll find our favourite frocks from the night and don't forget to check back here tomorrow for videos direct from the red carpet.
