Beyonce wearing Givenchy Haute Couture by Riccardo Tisci for her Mrs Carter tour
As The Mrs Carter tour continues to blaze across the globe, enticing crowds to shimmy and wave their ring finger in the air to the beat, Beyonce’s tour outfits just get better and better. When Grazia Daily was given the backstage tour, we learned that Beyonce is such a concert professional that she watches her every performance the morning after to see if changes need to be made - and that's why she travels with such an insanely huge wardrobe department in case she needs to make any last minute switches.
The latest new additions come in the form of two custom made costumes designed by Riccardo Tisci for Givenchy Haute Couture. The three black looks made their appearance last night as she sang If I were a boy, Diva and one of our all-time favourites, Baby Boy. For this musical trio, Bey wore a black short cape embroidered patriotically with American Flag style starts and stripes, with a black leotard underneath embellished with stones, metal and 3D sequin stars and crystals which she wore over a long-sleeved chiffon tee with crocodile skin leather stars embroidered onto it as well as some snazzy black embroidered leather gloves. Talk about extravagant!
Mrs Carter wore these with one of Givenchy’s signature pieces, the cat-ear baseball cap, with her version made in black leather and finished with paillettes, stones and crystals, with star shaped embroidery spelling the letter B at the front, which we reckon is totally genius. Like a sultry couture bat-woman? We love!
