UPDATE: Beyonce and Jay Z delighted the world over the weekend with the release of fake movie trailer 'Run'. Starring Bey and Jay as Bonnie & Clyde style bandits, as well as the likes of Jake Gyllenhaal, Blake Lively and Sean Penn - it was a big budget production that could have been a genuine feature film... except it's not. And it seems fans are demanding more.
A super fan named Devante Jones has started a Change.org petition for the movie to get turned into a feature film, and it already he has more than 1000 signatures. He writes:
'After the release of Beyoncé and JAY Z's "RUN" trailer which was released on May 18th, 2014, millions of fans across the world became devestated after seeing "coming never" at the end of the exciting and action packed "RUN" trailer. We, the BeyHive and JAY Z fans would love for our two favorite artists to actually make a full length movie based off of the trailer. Why? It would most definitely sell millions, it's also casted so perfectly (Don Cheadle, Jake Gyllenhaal, Sean Penn) and most importantly, it would make your fans happy. We love you B and Jay, you two have to make this happen. Please, the world wants the "ON THE RUN" movie!'

18 May 2014: Beyonce and Jay Z release fake movie trailer 'Run'
Don't mess with Bey! She's bad-ass in 'On The Run' [Youtube]
Following one of the most mysterious family feuds of recent times, Jay Z and Beyonce are now on the run. No, not from Solange and her metal clutch bag, On The Run is in fact the name of their forthcoming double-act tour. Why? Well it’s all down to the pair’s continued interest in Bonnie and Clyde and the reason we’re talking abut it today is because Roc Nation’s husband and wifey super-team have produced a three minute faux mini movie trailer to whet fans’ appetites.
Just your average police line-up featuring Bey alongside Rashida and Kidada Jones [Youtube]
Jay and Bey once again play a modern version of the infamous American outlaws (remember Crazy in Love’s references and 03 Bonnie and Clyde?), but this is no ordinary shoot-em-up kinda flick: cameos roll in from the likes of Jake Gyllenhal, Sean Penn, Blake Lively and many more Hollywood faces. We see Beyonce in the rather impractical bank hold-up ensemble of a white lace suit, with a bra and a balaclava. Jay swears, A LOT. And smokes cigars, A LOT.
Average day, jus' chillin'. [Youtube]
There’s raunchy motel dancing, Yonce sewing up Z’s arm injury, cowboy hats, police chases and much use of machine guns. Like all great love affairs, the duo manage to steal a few moments to get married and ride into the sunset on a motorcycle. To finish things off we see B floating casually in a swimming pool gleaming with hundred dollar bills.
When you consider the time, budget and effort that must’ve gone into creating this trailer for a film that may never happen, just how extraordinary could the on-stage choreography and set design? We’ll have to wait until June to find out… Until then watch the video below:
