Best Dressed At Les Miserables World Premiere: Anne Hathaway In Givenchy Gown And Amanda Seyfried In Balenciaga

06 December 2012 by

Last night Les Miserables' sparkling A-List cast gathered on the red carpet in London at the world premiere of Les Miserables. We were there shivering on the red carpet with Anne, Amanda and Eddie and the rest of the cast. But the girls were a LOT braver than us, as while we opted for coats and scarves, they went for backless, strapless and cutout gowns.

Ever since Anne Hathaway has chopped off her locks we have noticed she has been experimenting with elaborate necklines, and last night she sparkled in a backless pearl studded Givenchy Couture Gown. As she moved along the red carpet we saw her put on a blue Burberry cape and grey woolen gloves to tackle the icy temperatures.

Amanda Seyfried went for a black and white flamenco inspired Spring 2013 Balenciaga dress, with a ruffled skirt, peplum bustier top and a plunging V. A quick fashion fact for you, this is only the second Balenciaga look from this collection to hit the red carpet. To battle the cold Amanda borrowed various coats as she travelled down the red carpet, including Michael Ball's black overcoat, and we later spotted her huddled up in a blanket when chatting to her fans. Why not accessorise Balenciaga with a blanket, eh?

For the after party the pair changed into warmer outfits, as Anne went for an Altuzarra dress with her blue Burbs cape whereas Amanda went for an all black trousers and coat combo. But Samantha Barks, who plays Eponine in the musical, managed to keep her blue sparkly Stella McCartney gown on all night.

Burberry poster boy Eddie Redmayne wore a rather shiny blue velvet suit by Burbs - we can't think of anyone else who could pull of this look. We loved little Isabelle Allen's adorable all pink ballerina outfit and Laura Bailey's barbie pink gown.
