Photographer, Jon Gorrigan's Video From The Shoot
As we gear up for the start of London Fashion Week this Friday, this week’s main fashion shoot, styled by Senior Fashion Editor, Gemma Hayward, and shot by Photographer, Jon Gorrigan, profiles the best of the Autumn/Winter collections from London based designers.
For the shoot, the team travelled to a house, designed in the 1960s, set in the leafy suburb of North London. With sprawling grounds encompassing extensive topiary and even a tennis court, the house made for a time-machine of tranquillity and the perfect location for the vision to come alive.
Serving up the style, Gemma Hayward, describes the basis of the shoot: “statement looks from London Fashion Week design stars including Christopher Kane, Giles, Erdem, Richard Nicoll and Jonathan Saunders which have been taken from the catwalks and into the suburbs. From giant knits to wipe-clean fabrics and pretty lace and silks, it's only the finest fashion for this domestic goddess.” There is nothing more practical to wear for mowing the lawn than a wipe clean patent dress from Jonathan Saunders after all!
Behind the Scenes: Hair and Make-Up Touch Ups On Set; Top Left, Shoes From New Accessory Brand, Dorateymur
With new accessory designers including the shoe brand to watch out for, Dorateymur, with their patent mules and the architecturally inspired millinery from Keely Hunter, the shoot was packed with the newcomers as well as the established designers on the London Fashion Circuit.
So after picking up your copy this week, consider your fashion palette well and truly wetted for London Fashion week.
