Sarah Jessica Parker acted as the First Lady of Fashion Anna Wintour's co-chair at this year's Met Gala, which took place last weekend and provided an absolute frock-feast for us all to gorge our eyes on. The week proved a very good one for Vogue editor Wintour, who was honoured by Actual First Lady Michelle Obama at the opening of the Costume Institute - named after Wintour for having raised millions for the cause.
All this may explain how and why Wintour was so smile ready at her appearance with Parker on the 'Late Night With Seth Myers' show last night, where the fashion pros (sorry but we'll never be able to stop thinking of SJP as Carrie Bradshaw) stopped by to discuss the evening, as well as dress codes, most specifically, the men's.
'Women traditionally have to spend so much time thinking about what they're going to wear, we thought it was time to turn the tables,' says Wintour, of the decision to make the dress code white tie. 'I had no idea how much panic this would make the men of New York and all over the world think about their outfits.'
Wintour went on to share an email from Tom Ford who'd reportedly had hundreds of emails from men asking him to explain to them what white tie meant. 'They were very confused by decorations... there were a couple of people who said does that mean Christmas tree decorations? And could Tom Ford pick them out.' LOLS! Well... that would have been awkward.
The pair were then asked to rate men on their looks. In a nutshell? Only one nailed it. Click through the gallery below to see the looks and find out what they said.
