When Allison Williams hit the FROW last week for the Christian Dior Haute Couture show it struck us that she is someone seriously upping her style game. The 25 year-old actress wore a waist clinching top teamed with leather trousers and shoulder robed a trench for a feeling of relaxed glamour. In the process the likes of Kate Bosworth and Olga Kurylenko were thrown into the style shade when Allison’s Dior delight joined them on the front row.
There is of course no better time to up your style game than in the midst of the 2014 award season. Allison, best known for playing Marnie in Girls, kicked things off nicely when she attended the Golden Globes earlier this month wearing a printed monochrome Alexander McQueen dress from the house’s global traveller themed Spring/Summer 2014 collection. When Allison jetted over to the UK for the premiere of Girls season three she struck style gold again in another Alexander McQueen dress which for its ultra-feminine shape still retained a slight edge with the halter neck detailing. This is exactly what the actress is doing so well at the moment, opting for ultra-glamorous shapes but making sure the looks still radiate her youthful appearance by ensuring they have off kilter accents.
It's all in the detail (clockwise from top right): Allison with stylist Cristina Ehrlich, nails at The Hollywood Reporter Emmys party, Allison loves a bit of Jimmy Choo's Annouk style and Allison's hair at the NYC premiere of Girls season three (@cristinaehrlich/getty)
The mastermind behind the style transformation of Allison from girl next door to Hollywood glamazon is celebrity stylist, Cristina Ehrlich. Also stylist to Penelope Cruz and Amy Adams, Ehrlich has been working with Allison since the Emmys in 2012 when upon their first meeting Allisson brought binders with photographs of fellow celebrities to show Ehrlich for inspiration. Indeed Allison has gone on record saying: ‘I have always been so interested in the way actresses present themselves to the world because I think it is very important and affects the way people see you as an actor and whether or not you can still be believable on screen.’ It seems this is one young actress who has her mind firmly on the job and on her wardrobe.
Allison’s totally sleek beauty looks have also seen her catapult up the red carpet radar. It’s all about appearing fresh faced with barely there make-up and a hair care routine which is doing wonders for those bouncy curls which look as fierce sleeked back into a pony tail as they do tussled into an old school Hollywood style.

Indeed before her appearance on Girls (FUN FACT CLAXON) Allison played Kate Middleton in a parody web show entitled, Will & Kate: Before Happily Ever After and it seems the actress is following a similar path from girl next-door to radiant woman. We just can’t wait to see what Allison has left up her seriously stylish sleeve for the rest of this year’s award season and beyond!
