London is about to get a whole lot cooler. No we're not talking about the mercury dipping. Today it has been revealed that Alexander Wang is headed for our fine capital. Yes, that's right, Alexander Wang is opening his very first London store on Albermarle Street in Mayfair.

The 6,500 square store has a number of impressive neighbours - it's very close to Victoria Beckham's store. Although no details have been released about the store just yet, judging by the flagship store in New York it's going to be so very Wang.

Alexander Wang is having quite the year. He's teamed up with H&M for a fly-off-the-shelves collaboration, presented a much buzzed about sneaker-inspired Spring Summer 2015 collection and continued to hold the fort marvellously at Balenciaga.

Just in case you have avoided the Wang phenomenon, Mr Wang built his business on his connection with the street, designing monochrome, but edgy, urban uniforms for downtown kids. He knows how to make a piece reach dizzying cult status (see his Parental Advisory sweatshirt). Judging by the hype around the H&M collaboration this month, this is going to have a lot of foot traffic.
