Abbey Clancy for Ultimo [Ultimo]
After being signed up as the new face of Ultimo earlier this year, we've already got a second look at the model striking a pose for the lingerie brand. This time, the 28-year-old is showcasing the gorgeous new bridal collection which includes multi-way bras, corsets, flirty French knickers and the all-important garter designed with a discreet 'something blue' ribbon detail.
Abbey looks positively etheral in the shots as she reclines on a baroque bed accessorised with white roses, but it's not just the model's beauty that bagged her the role. 'Michelle goes for campaign stars who have strong, sexy personalities and I think it's great that I'm not just a model, I'm a mum too,' Abbey told Grazia Daily when we met her earlier this week.
Despite the risque shots, Abbey admits she doesn't get nervous posing in her pants. 'I’ve posed in less for Rankin!' she laughs. 'We work on a closed set and Mark [the photographer] makes me feel comfortable.' It's also handy to have a beauty squad to hand. 'Once I’ve got my hair and makeup looking amazing, it's hard not to feel sexy and confident.'
Speaking of posing, what's her secret to taking the perfect selfie? 'Having a few margaritas!' As for underwear dramas, Abbey admits that she's had a fair few red carpet incidents. 'The worst was at the Brit Awards and the camera flashes showed my underwear through my dress and unfortunately it wasn’t matching! That’s when my obsession for matching underwear kicked in.'

In fact, her undies obsession may see her trying her hand at designing. Abbey has already created a line for Matalan and is keen to work on her own lingerie line. 'My designs would be sexy, girlie and cheeky! I loved working on the Matalan collection and I had to consider different shapes and sizes, which was tough but a really enjoyable experience.'
It's wonder she'd find the time to squeeze it in. After scooping the glitterball trophy on Strictly Come Dancing, Abbey has been on the BBC show's UK Tour and let's not forget she has a two-year-old daughter, Sophia Ruby, and husband Peter Crouch to look after. 'My family has been so supportive, helping me out with the baby and Peter has been fantastic, I couldn’t have done it without him,' she coos.
Now that she's at home, Abbey reveals she likes to cook healthy meals for the family, making sure they all get their 5 a day. 'My best dish is Thai green curry, but it's still nice to have a glass of wine after a day at work.' Cheers to that!
