Just to add to one of his many accomplishments, David Beckham is set to receive a knighthood for his contribution to British football and his services to charity over the years. Now we don’t know that much about football, but we do know that Mr. Beckham is monumentally good at playing it and he’s generous taboo. After retiring last year he gave his entire 3.5million pay packet to a children’s charity in France. Wow.

Sir David Beckham and Lady Victoria (as they shall be known) first have to endure a thorough check by HRMC to ensure all is in order to validate the nomination for knighthood – not even the celeb elite can hide from the taxman. Should his name come to appear on next years knighthood list, he’ll be reunited with pal Prince Williams. The two have formed a rather unexpected friendship over their combined charity efforts and it is rumoured that Prince William will carry out the ceremony. What we wouldn’t give to be a fly on that wall!

But what has David Beckham really done for England? Football and charity aside, we’d like to say that David Beckham has provided the women of the nation and overseas with much, much, more. Having met him ourself, we can offer a totally unbias opinion and say he's even better in the flesh. From lust-worthy H&M campaigns to all the times he has willingly taken his clothes off… David Beckham we salute you!

Check out why we think David Beckham should receive a knighthood below…
