Daisy Lowe, Portia Freeman, Selita Ebanks, Christina Hendricks, Clara Paget, Chloe Green... No, we're not talking about the latest fashion week front row - we are, in fact, referring to the most stylish road trip on earth.

Over 60 leading women from the worlds of film, fashion, television, business, art and music got revved up for a three-day tour from Venice to London via Geneva and Paris, driving in a convoy of Valentino-red cars. Valentino's Maria Grazia Chiuri, Jo Wood and Jodie Kidd also got involved in the all-female tour, which raises funds and awareness for three charities: Shine on Sierra Leone, Orphan Aid Africa and Sumbandila.
What's more, Grazia's very own Gemma Hayward got an invite too and pulled on her racing gear for the weekend shenanigans. For the very last leg of the tour, a police escort accompanied the team as they drove in convoy through London - and Gemma has regaled the office with tales this morning. 'The atmosphere was electric,' she told us. 'People stopped in their tracks to take pictures of the fleet of bright red super-cars being driven by women - there were a lot of open mouths!'

It might have been exhausting doing that amount of driving, but the spirit of charity was in the air and Daisy, Gemma and co. were given a hero's welcome when they arrived at the Valentino store on Sloane Street on Sunday night. 'The founders of the charity are so passionate about their causes as well as everyone else involved,' Gemma says. 'Maria Grazia Chiuri opened up the doors to her fashion house Valentino in Paris for a drinks reception on Saturday night with a chance for guests to purchase from the Rouge Absolute Signature capsule collection which Chiuri designed to raise money for the charity'.

The extravaganza came to a close yesterday evening in true fashwan style. The finish line was at the Natural History Museum in London where the road-tripping crew ditched their sweaty garb for wonderful glad rags. A swanky gala dinner and auction saw Daisy, Portia and Clara looking gorgeously co-ordinated in floor-sweeping white gowns.
Yes, there was a dress code for the night and Selita made the most of it in a form-fitting white lace number while Portia added a pop of colour with her pastel pink bob and Lulu Guinness clutch. Clara opted for a silk organza column gown by Nicholas Oakwell Couture topped off with white court shoes and a lilac shargreen clutch. Jasmine Guinness shared a snap on her Instagram account of the racing ladies [below] which Daisy promptly regrammed with the excited caption, 'We made it it!!!'. Congrats one and all!
