2013 Handbags And Gladrags: See What You Can Buy At Our Luxury Jamboree

10 October 2013 by

Desperate to get your new-season wardrobe off to a fl ying start, but still paying off that summer holiday? Well, you’re in luck, because Grazia has come up with a solution that will not only furnish your wardrobe with high-end hotcakes on a budget, but also provide help for some of London’s most vulnerable children.

Gladrags & Handbags – our collaboration with charity Kids Company to throw a designer sale – is back, and the booty on offer is better  than ever. And you can shop with a conscience, because the money from this luxury three-day jamboree goes to giving thousands of youngsters a memorable Christmas Day of gifts, plus lunch with all the trimmings, and provides a  further 4,000 with food parcels so they  don’t go hungry over the festive period. ‘Many children feel like discarded rubbish, so Kids Company provides something for them to look forward to at Christmas,’ says Camila  Batmanghelidjh, founder and director of the charity.

We’ve gathered hot heels donated by the likes of Christian Louboutin and Rupert Sanderson, tempting totes, thanks to the generosity of labels like Céline and Mulberry, catwalk designs from Roland Mouret, Erdem and Roksanda Ilincic, plus cute kidswear from Stella McCartney and Barbour. The event will be a beauty bonanza, too. bareMinerals will be giving mini makeovers, and the Nails Inc pop-up nail bar will have your paws groomed to perfection.

As Camila says, ‘By coming down to Gladrags, others can give these kids a joyful Christmas and some dignity, too.’ It’s time to get giving – and receiving!

Join us at Gladrags & Handbags! It's taking place at The Old Truman Brewery, 4-5 Dray Walk, London E1, on Friday 11 October, 9am-8pm; Saturday 12 October, 10am-6pm; Sunday 13 October, 11am-5pm. The beauty stations will only be around on the weekend from 1.30-4.30pm
