The 2013 VMAs was all about Miley Cyrus, that nude PVC bikini and her roaming foam finger, so we knew she would dominate the headlines from tonight's EMAs over in Amsterdam. Miley Cyrus is performing this evening so Twitter is bound to explode with #MileysEMAs, especially if her red carpet outfit is anything to go by.
Miley walked the red carpet in a teeny tiny string dress which paid homage to Tupac and the Notorious B.I.G, as their faces covered her chest and, err, booty. She certainly made a statement as the words 'please stop' and 'violence' are written around the micro skirt. Did we just wake up in 1997?
The dress brings the words Julia Roberts and Pretty Woman to mind as it has a dangerously high hemline, a revealing halterneck and an open back covered with black string. She paired her 'dress' with equally attention-grabbing monochrome checked Tom Ford thigh highs. Boy oh boy will the fashion police have fun with this one. Miley then left the 90s rap politics behind, to change into a white body with her crotch covered by a well-placed Chanel bag.
Elsewhere on the black and blue carpet, Katy Perry looked seriously demure in a mint satin Zac Posen gown with gold Charlotte Olympia peep toes and a Dolce & Gabbana headband. Katy has come a long way since she hit the EMAs in a part tuxedo part frock. Iggy Azalea did the Angelina thing in a black dress with rib-grazing cut-outs and a serious slit which went over her hip bone, while Rita Ora also wore a slinky black gown with a revealing slit.
