Back in October our dreams came true as it was revealed that Kate Moss is returning to Topshop. The line drops in stores in 22 d, and more details are dripping through each day about the collection. There with be 40 pieces inspired by Kate's own wardrobe, as Sir Phillip Green says: “It’s unique, special, her own style.”
Sir Phillip Green described the collection to WWD as “Kate’s own DNA.” There are silk satin pajama pantsuits, sequin cocktail dresses, chain detailing and mesh and sequin bolero jackets. The Topshop owner said to WWD it was a collection rather than a series of collections, as she was given her own office to work from. Sir Phillip said: "They were in a separate building. I didn’t want her to be distracted, and I wanted her to be able to come and go as she pleased."

This collection will be more premium-led, with intricate cocktail dresses which are £600 alongside pieces starting at £38. It is inspired by Kate's travels, including embroidered kaftans inspired by the Balearic Islands and a fringed leather jacket similar to one she wore to the Rolling Stones which she describes as her 'gig jacket.' Kate said to Sunday Times Style mag about her previous collections: 'I loved those daisy dresses and they were really successful, but I didn't think it was part of what I would do now. I'm more… sophisticated,' said Moss
Phillip Green also told WWD that she has become more commercially savvy saying “Uncle Phil, we need more dresses,” and she would joke to him “'Just feel the quality, feel the fabric, Uncle Phil.’” “We were much more focused this time, very clearly focused on what we wanted to achieve and what she wanted to achieve. Kate has learned a hell of a lot about the process, and she’s given a lot more time to the collection,” said Green.
