[Marc Jacobs Spring 2008]

Calling all selfie addicts! Marc by Marc Jacobs is using Twitter and Instagram to cast its next campaign!

The sister line to Marc Jacobs, put out a casting call on social media yesterday asking followers to share pictures of themselves with the hashtag #castmemarc. Uploaders would then be in the running for a spot in the brand's forthcoming Fall Winter 2014 ads.

'Be the new face of Marc by Marc!' it tweeted. 'Tag your look #CastMeMarc. You may be hearing from our agency Establishment NY.'

The fashion house in no stranger to quirky campaigns. The Spring 2008 campaigns for Marc Jacobs' main line featured Victoria Beckham's legs sticking out of a shopping bag. Plus M.I.A's sported menswear for ads, Winona Ryder parodied her shoplifting scandal - and remember the controversy surrounding 13-year-old Elle Fanning appearing in the Lola fragrance campaigns a few years back?

Entries have started flooding in from wannabe faces of the brand. Already, 12,533 snaps have been shared on Instagram with the #CastMeMarc hashtag as well as loads of shots uploaded to Twitter. Participants range from up-and-coming models to babies and from fashion bloggers to cats. Unusual entires include a selfie taken in a phone shop (so glamorous) and a teensy tiny turtle (of course).

Want to enter? You have to be older than 18 and available to shoot the campaign from April 30 until May 1 this year. You've got until April 9 to share your selfies. Get snapping!

From high quality test shoot photos to bedroom mirror pictures, here are all of our favourite entries so far.
