It’s award season ahoy and with the BAFTA awards taking place tonight (along with the Grammys in LA AND the Berlin Film Festival all happening this weekend), the nominees have been cutting their red carpet teeth at various nominee parties. Between a Chanel soiree, a Harvey Weinstein dinner and a party held by the British Actor’s Academy there’s been plenty of opportunities for this year’s hottest performers – both budding and legendary - to test the eveningwear waters.
Julianne Moore cut a sexy silhouette, with Tom Ford on her arm AND label in a slinky black lacey dress with a long-sleeves and a deep V neckline whilt Keira Knightley looked every bit the demure mother-to-be in fluttering floral chiffon, accompanied by her husband James Righton. Tailoring appeared in bounds - both Eddie Redmayne and Benedict Cumberbatch sported blue shot silk suits whilst Felicity Jones and Kristen Scott-Thomas effused confidence in suiting-inspired looks.
The Charles Finch and Chanel dinner boasted an unsurprisingly chic guestlist with Monsieur Lagerfeld’s muse Caroline Sieber in white sheer chiffon separates and Blue is the Warmest Colour star Lea Seydoux looking snazzy in a jazzy checked two-piece.
