In case you have been living under a rock for the last 24 hours, you'll know that last night the A-list hit the annual Met Gala to launch the art institute's latest exhibition, China: Through The Looking Glass. However spoiler alert: most seemed to steer towards the worst dressed list. See our 10 winners and losers from the Met Gala below...

1. Amanda Seyfried's Glorious Givenchy Gown: Winner

The actress is an underrated arbiter of good taste when it comes to red carpet dressing. Rarely putting a foot wrong and yet grossly underrated. But it is difficult to put a foot wrong when Riccardo Tisci is on speed dial and you have a golden ticket to the house of Givenchy. Wearing an embellished white gown the former Mean a Girl not only nailed the theme she did so without looking like a kid at a fancy dress party/a walking cliche. Claps.

2. SJP's Go Hard Or Go Home Mantra: Loser

Taking the theme too far, SJP? (Getty)

Oh SJP. The once lauded fashion icon is dangerously hurtling towards fashion victim territory these days. We get it you love a head piece and well done for being a living example of "go hard or go home" when it comes to themed dressing but there is a whole lot going on here, she is practically a walking Chinese interior. Moreover does H&M really deserve a place on the Met Ball red carpet, is this a high street appropriation too far?

3. Sienna Miller’s Pyjamas: Winner

Chic, tick! On theme, tick! Sienna is rarely making a mistake at the moment and this red suit of sass is just the ticket to China Town. Bordering on chiche perhaps but next time we stumble to the corner shop in our PJs we will endeavor to embody Ms. Miller.

4.Pop Queens Go Pop: Loser

Were Katy Perry and Madonna attacked by a street gang wielding graffiti cans as they travelled through Brooklyn to make it to the ball? Not exactly a fairy tale ending. Jeremy Scott is a lot of things, a master of comedic clothing for one, but the joke is on these two pop stars this time around. Small shout out to KP for wearing Kris Jenner's hair better than she did.

5. Adrien Brody's Dolce Delight: Winner

Oh Justin, take note from Mr Brody... (Getty)

Take note Bieber, this is how to wear an embellished jacket and not let it wear you.

6. Rihanna's Belle on Acid Look: Winner

Ri-Ri was the only girl in the world it seemed last night (Getty)

The greatest example of fur coat, no knickers in history, right here. We all love a Disney Princess andRihanna's take on Belle from The Beauty and The Beast is an explosion of rather violent yellow and lashings of fur tying the whole look together. Part John Galliano Dior Couture circa 2000 as well. She barely left any room for anyone else on that red carpet so kudos for owning that carpet. Literally.

7. Kim Kardashian's Beyoncé Attempt: Loser

Is it Beyonce? Nah just that bird Kim K trying to be her... (Getty)

It was all going so well. Kim K turned up in barely there feather dress, the kind adored by Beyonce and for a minute she was beyonce. Then the actual Beyonce turned up. Better luck next time HUN.

8. You Missed The Casting Call For Star Wars Anne: Loser

Still stuck in outter space from filming Interstellar, Anne? (Getty)

Oh hun. Lupita got the main role Anne, it's a little too late for an audition. But nice try and if we looked that cracking in gold lame we would be laughing too.

9. Bob Mackie/Cher Were The Real Stars Of The Night: Winner

Cher circa the Bob Mackie years was the inspiration of the night (Getty)

Kim Kardashian took to instagram to show that the inspiration behind her look was none other than Cher, at her Bob Mackie hey day. The influence of the designer did not seem to stop there however, JLO and Beyonce all seemed to have a bit of a Mackie moment and of course, Cher was on hand as well to witness it all.

10. Amal As An Emoji: Loser

Flamenco dancer emoji. The End.
