Earlier this year Harrods brought together eight of the world's most powerful fashion bloggers, for a special photoshoot dubbed the 'Digital Style Summit.' We have teamed up with each of the girls to bring you their styling masterclass and Shopping Fix for the season. First Carolina Engman from Fashion Squad showed you how to fake it as a Scandi and then Marie from Blame It On Fashion shared her shoe wishlist.
This time we're tunrning to Veronica Ferraro of The Fashion Fruit for her style know how. Veronica has been blogging for four years and has collaborated with the likes of Chanel and Dior. This Milan resident has nailed luxe Italian style, with fabulously flamboyant accessories and high octane outfits. We chatted to Veronica about her blogging tips, style rules and the pieces she's lusting after this season...
Grazia Daily: How long have you been blogging for?
'I started my blog in January 2010, so this is my fourth year of blogging, although it seems much longer.'
Grazia Daily: What advice do you have for anyone starting a blog?
'As I always say to girls who love fashion like me, my only advice is to start it as a hobby. It's great if it becomes your full time job, but don't have expectations.'
Grazia Daily: How long have you been blogging as a career?
'I was lucky to start my blog at a time when they were still relatively new to Italy. After about six months, brands began to contact me and from then on I knew I had to devote all of my time to my blog.'
Grazia Daily: What is your blogging highlight so far?
'I can’t think of any particular experience, or perhaps I have too many. There have been many exciting opportunities, such as the Digital Style Summit. I’ve always been a big fan of Harrods and when I received the invitation for the Digital Style Summit I lept up from my chair, I was so happy to receive that email.'
Grazia Daily: What do you think is the key to the Milan look?
'Milan is a crazy city and very focused on fashion. The look should be casual and chic at the same time. My Milan uniform is skinny jeans, a white blazer and my it-bag of the moment.'
Grazia Daily: Where are the best places to go shopping in Milan?
'As I mentioned before, Milan is the heart of the fashion world so there are a lot of amazing places I can suggest. For example: Excelsior, the luxury shopping mall in the city centre, and 10 Corso Como, an amazing concept store in one of the coolest Milan area.'
Grazia Daily: Which is your favourite handbag/ pair of shoes?
'My favourite bag of the moment is definitely the “Chanel Boy Bag”, I take it with me everywhere. I really like the new Neon Collection from Valentino and I always go crazy for Fendi. I also really love my orange heels from the new Pollini collection by Nicholas Kirkwood.'
Grazia Daily: Favourite labels? Any new designers to look out for?
'I’m so into “Au Jour Le Jour”. I really liked their first fashion show in Milan during the last fashion week.'
Grazia Daily: We love your bag collection – how many do you own?
I have around 30 designer bags. They are definitely my favourite accessory.
Grazia Daily: What is your style rule when it comes to accessories?
