Patisserie Valerie

My perfect day in Nottingham would begin with a visit to a new cafe in The Exchange called ‘Patisserie Valerie’; it is a little heaven on earth with the most amazing and delicious patisseries, cakes and gateaux. Patisserie Valerie was opened in Soho in 1926, by Madam Valerie, who came to London on a mission to introduce fine continental patisserie to the English. I literally can’t last a week without treating myself!

Zara

I would next go to Zara (my favourite high-street shop in Nottingham). It is only two minutes from The Exchange.  I’m literally there every week to check out what’s new, and what’s not to love about Zara? This year’s collection is very designer inspired so I’m getting the looks for less. My favourite item right now is this leopard print and colour block coat.

The Nottingham Contemporary

Thirdly I would go to the Nottingham Contemporary for the latest exhibition of modern art. Right now they are exhibiting Kafou: Haiti, Art and Vodou. It is a presentation of nearly 200 paintings, sculptures and sequin flags by 35 artists from the 1940s to the present day that trace the representation of Vodou, reflecting Haiti’s historical experience through the supernatural. I definitely recommend a visit - I love learning about different cultures and values.

Frankie & Benny's

Fourthly I would enjoy lunch at Frankie & Benny's. It is by far the best for American restaurant around.

Flannels

Fifthly I would make a stop by my favourite independent luxury store in Nottingham, Flannels, for the latest in high-end clothes and accessories. My favourite item at the moment is this pair of long gloves by Prada that I could not resist adding to my closet.

Evening look

Jacket by Virgos Lounge, Zara leather skirt, Alexander McQueen clutch and Christian Louboutin shoes.

Marco Pierre White

After a long and lovely day strolling around town it’s time to sit back, relax, converse and enjoy a great dining experience and for that I know just the place. Alea Casino Nottingham has a new Marco Pierre White restaurant. The chic yet stylish steakhouse offers a fabulous ultra-modern dining experience with great atmosphere making it the ideal place to chill with friends and family.
