Highcross Shopping Centre

As much as I love shopping in the boutiques we have dotted around Leicester, there's no denying that I'm a huge fan of the highstreet too! Highcross is home to some of my favourite stores and no shopping trip is really complete without a wander around here. There's a beautiful pedestrianized area outside too, full of coffee shops and places to eat, plus even more stores and the Showcase Cinema as well.

Watch.This.Space

I love this little boutique! It stocks art, clothing and accessories from independent designers and recent graduates from all over the UK. I'm really passionate about supporting emerging talent, so I love that we have a place like this in Leicester. You'll find so many unique and interesting pieces here, it's a great place to go to pick something up that no one else will have and the prices are really reasonable too.

Fat Cat

This is one of my favourite places to go for lunch, the food is amazing, I'm a huge fan of their risotto and nachos and they do some of the best sandwiches in town, but the super relaxed surroundings are what really make it stand apart from the rest. Firstly, it's huge and with lots of space, so it never feels overcrowded and they play such a great mix of background music too. The soft lighting and huge sofas make it feel really cosy, like a home from home, it's the perfect place to relax after a long day of shopping.

Ye Olde Sweet Shoppe

I have a huge sweet tooth, so I can't not mention this place! As the name suggests it's full of jars upon jars of sweets and they have lots of retro ones that you never find anywhere else too! You'll regularly find me in here buying strawberry Bon Bons, Cola Cubes, Rhubarb and Custards and bags full of sherbet!

O2 Academy Leicester

My boyfriend is a full time music photographer and we are both obsessed with music, so we spend a lot of our nights going to gigs. Recently the O2 Academy have been getting in a lot of brilliant acts and it's quickly becoming one of my favourite places to go for live music. I'll always have a soft spot for the smaller venues we have around the city, but it's also really nice to finally have a large music venue that's able to get in the big name acts too.
