One of our favourite shopping sites THE OUTNET is celebrating its 5th birthday, and have teamed up with 17 major brands to reissue their signature pieces exclusively for the site. As well as having a campaign with Chanel Iman, they created a video with insiders Garance Dore, Leandra Medine, Alexandra Richards, Carolina Issa, Jessica Hart, Leigh Lezark and Harley Viera-Newton. That's not all, as one of our favourite London bloggers Ella Catliff from La Petite Anglaise is putting her style stamp on the collection.
Seeing as the collection is focused on modern classics, Ella chose modern iconic locations in London for her photoshoot. Think the Saatchi Gallery over the National Portrait Gallery. So how did she pick her locations? Ella said: 'Ultimately I wanted to go for places that I felt really embodied the concept of modern iconic and could on some level be seen as the 2014 equivalent of a more traditional London destination. So The EDITION as opposed to Claridges. It was also important that they would work aesthetically for the shoot and for the looks I’d styled so that all had to be taken into consideration too.'
So how did she pick her look? Ella said: 'In terms of actually styling the pieces, I really just picked my favourites from the collection and took it from there! The collection is brilliantly curated and I could more than happily have worn any (or all) of it.'
As for her favourite piece from the collection she said: 'I genuinely adored everything I wore and it was so much fun switching between the different styles within the space of the day. If I absolutely had to pick a favourite I think it would have to be the Roland Mouret dress. It’s such an iconic piece and makes you feel elegant and glamorous the second you put it on.'
When it comes to shopping Ella is an expert, so she has shared with us the five pieces you have to snap up from the OUTNET 5th anniversary collection. As for her shopping tips she said: 'My top online shopping tip is go for brands that you’ve tried before and know how the sit on your body, sizes vary so much.'
