Kate Middleton Rewears Diane von Furstenberg Coat To Pay Tribute On Remembrance Sunday

11 November 2012 by

At 11 o'clock today, the nation fell silent as the Queen led the country in remembering members of the Armed Forces who died in conflict. She was joined at the Cenotaph memorial in London by the Duke of Edinburgh, Prime Minister David Cameron and the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.

Prince William, dressed in his RAF uniform, laid a Remembrance Sunday wreath as his glossily-haired wife watched from a balcony alongside the Countess of Wessex and the Princess Royal's husband Vice Admiral Sir Timothy Lawrence.

Kate Middleton Rewears Diane von Furstenberg Coat To Pay Tribute On Remembrance Sunday

The Duchess wearing Diane von Furstenberg in 2011

Kate Middleton looked suitably solemn and regal in head-to-toe black with a wide-brimmed Phillip Treacy hat to match. In true recycling fashion, this is the same 2008 coat by Diane von Furstenberg that the DoC wore to last year's Remembrance Sunday service [above].

The double breasted coat is 100% wool and features a detachable trim to the collar and cuffs which is called ‘soutache’ (a kind of braiding usually reserved for Military uniforms and Cheryl Cole’s tour outfits) to add a touch of glitz to the understated piece.

Kate Middleton repeats her Philip Treacy hat

What Kate Wore notes that the Duchess' headgear is also a repeat. She wore the very same Phillip Treacy number for William’s passing out ceremony at Sandhurst back in 2006 teamed with a red Armani coat. The hat is noticeably less extravagant in comparison to last year's Jane Corbett design, with a simple black bow rather than an elaborate twist, and her hair is in a more modest style compared to the 2011 bounce-a-thon.

Kate topped off the look with a blinging poppy plated with 18-carat gold and featuring red and black crystals. It's available in-store at Marks & Spencer and online at www.poppyshop.org.uk.

So with that, we have another event-appropriate hit from Ms Middy. To see the Duchess' greatest looks, check out Grazia's Kate Middleton Look Book

Jackson Kentebe (Thu Nov 22 07:57:08 GMT 2012): Seriously, you guys at GRAZIA really need to LAY OFF the Kate repeating her cloths bashing. She is being humble, wise and sensible in an economic crisis, respecting the fact that the British people, whose taxes partly pay for the expenses of the Royals, are going through things themselves. Praising her would be more appropriate and not villifying her or drawing unfair caricatures of her teeth like you skankily did in your previous edition. Maybe you could tell the US first lady whom you guys love to so much to learn a lesson or two in fiscal and monetary conservation from that, considering that she took the Airforce one on a holiday to the south of spain to make her friend feel better. Let's not forget hiring all the rooms in the most expensive hotel in Marbella and the deployment of more than 450 spanish police for protection and the whole shibang for the trip. I don't see u cutting offer her neck for that even if it was two years ago. If that honestly, was not a collosal and illegal waste of money, I don't know what else was. Leave Kate the hell alone. If the British people tire of her repeating her cloths, they and not you would complain.
