Designers at Debenhams Jenny Packham, Henry Holland & Julien Macdonald Tell Us Why Christmas Is Fabulous: EXCLUSIVE

07 November 2012 by

With Halloween and Bonfire Night over we have no festivities left to distract us from the big'un. Yep let's face it, Christmas is coming. For the next two months you will see nothing on your TV but turkeys, novelty knit and cute kids.

Ever wanted to know how the perfect Christmas you see in the ads is made? Then look no further than our behind the scenes video of the Debenham's 'Christmas Made Fabulous' ad featuring top designers Jenny Packham, Julien Macdonald and Henry Holland. It landed this aftenoon at Grazia HQ and had us craving sequins, berry coats and roast potatoes.

The designers reveal what they reckon makes Christmas fabulous, for Jenny Packham it's walks in Hampstead Heath, Henry Holland loves "expensive gifts and delicious food," and for Julien Macdonald a fabulous christmas is watching his little dog run in the snow. You'll be happy to know the little pup also makes a cameo in the clip. Oh AND you'll also see how they make the perfect fake snow.

Kate Middleton's fave Jenny Packham said of the collection: “Occasionwear is especially relevant over the festive season, so it made perfect sense for me to get involved in this project. I love seeing my dresses come to life during the balcony party scene." Mr Henry Holland said: "I love a good Christmas ad and being in one that is as epic is this is mental. We had such a good time making this and the result really gives you that excited festive feeling."

Another Grazia fave, Jonathon Saunders, makes an appearance. Well, not exactly, but a rather beaut Saunders berry coat is without a doubt the star of the ad.

Our favourite part of the video has to be the little girl who says her favourite part of Christmas is school lunches... sorry fashion folk but this kid is way too precious.
