If there's one lady we're always looking out for at the shows, it's Caroline Issa. Thanks to her many stylish swishes, the fashion director of Tank magazine has street snappers going wild and the fash pack turning green with envy — so what could be better than the chance to walk in her shoes, quite literally.
This morning, WWD is reporting that L.K. Bennett is set to launch a capsule collection designed by the lovely lady herself. The limited-edition collection features six pairs of shoes and two bags, and will be sold at L.K. bennett flagships and lkbennett.com from 19th February — just in time for fashion week. Aren't we lucky that the US journalist, who was born in Montreal to a Chinese mother and a half-Lebanese, half-Iranian father, has chosen our very own high-street brand to collaborate with? Yes, very.
So what can we expect from the range? Well, there will be sandals, anklestrap stilettos, shoe boots, kitten heels, loafers and clutch bags. Phewf. And in true Issa style, the items will be covered in embellishments, bright neons, Thai-inspired embroidery, flowers, zigzags and pom-poms. Sounds fab to us. As for prices, shoes will be available for a reasonable £245 and bags for £275.
'My style philosophy has always been about letting your shoes do the talking — so I tend to dress with shoes as the starting point,' Caroline told WWD. Here's hoping they'll tempt Kate Middleton out of her nude courts.
UPDATE: The Grazia crew popped into the L.K. Bennett press day this afternoon and what should we see? Only a first glimpse at the very collection we were dreaming of this morning! And it's more fabulously colourful and Issa-tastic that we'd possibly imagined. So far, we've only been treated to one design - these marvellous heels decorated with a pink, green and yellow print and topped off with playful pompoms with a clutch to match. Place your orders now, peeps.
