Blogger Q&A: Olive Collar's Aelrid Turner And Marin Monroe's Marin Daley-Hawkins

Aelrid Turner from Olive Collar

Grazia Daily: How long have you been blogging?

Aelrid: Four years.

Grazia Daily: What made you decide to start your blog?

Aelrid: I am very passionate about fashion, art and music. I also love to write. Starting my blog allowed me to combine all these things and express my opinions.

Grazia Daily: What’s been your highlight so far?

Aelrid: My highlight would have to be getting to the final of the Grazia blogger of the year competition. Going to London Fashion Week was amazing and writing a report of a show really inspired me.

Grazia Daily: What are your favourite Winter 2012 trends?

Aelrid: Cobalt Blue, Oversize Coats and Leather.

Grazia Daily: Do you have any winter fashion rules?

Aelrid: I have to be warm. I like to make the most of the cold weather and layer up!

Grazia Daily: You’re modelling in the eBay look book – what are your top tips for posing for photos?

Aelrid: I think if you are comfortable with how you look and feel confident in your outfit it helps hugely.

Grazia Daily: Where do you get your style inspiration?

Aelrid: Woody Allen's Films (Annie Hall and Manhattan). I love how the women dress in masculine clothes yet still look very sexy. I also love Alexa Chung's style and it has a huge influence on how I dress. I don’t feel comfortable dressing in an overtly sexy way, I prefer to be a little more understated. I feel like these references help me do this.

Grazia Daily: Which was your favourite London Fashion Week SS13 show and why?

Aelrid: It would have to be the Mulberry Show. I loved the colour palette, oversize coats and the use of leather.

Grazia Daily: Which brands do you rely on?

Aelrid: Cos and Urban Outfitters.

Grazia Daily: What are your top tips for shopping on a budget?

Aelrid: I shop in charity shops a lot and I think it is the best way to find unique pieces very cheaply.

Grazia Daily: Which other fashion blogs do you love?

Aelrid: Stockholm Street Style and Calivintage.
