Kate Moss Poses As Brigitte Bardot And Dishes On Johnny Depp In Vanity Fair

Yesterday it was Sports Illustrated super power Kate Upton who got us talking when she tweeted a pic of herself dolled up as 1960s screen siren Brigitte Bardot for V Magazine. Now images have been released of our own home-grown Kate, La Moss, posing in a provocative Bardot-esque fashion on the cover of Vanity Fair magazine.

Wearing a string vest, tousled blonde wig and heavy feline black eyeliner Kate looks every inch the sex symbol, but she revealed in the accompanying interview that she wasn't always so comfortable with embracing the more risqué side of modelling. Talking about her Calvin Klein campaign with Mark Wahlberg in 1992 which transformed the Croydon clotheshorse into a global star she said, "I had a nervous breakdown when I was 17 or 18, when I had to go and work with Marky Mark and Herb Ritts. It didn't feel like me at all. I felt really bad straddling this buff guy. I didn't like it. I couldn't get out of bed for two weeks. I thought I was going to die. It was just anxiety. Nobody takes care of you mentally. There's a massive pressure to do what you have to do."

As well as opening up about the reason for her 'heroine-chic' physique in the 1990s (apparently food on shoots was scarce) and enjoying a quieter life as a married woman ("I don't really go to clubs any more. I'm actually quite settled") Kate also dished on her four-year relationship with actor and international heartthrob Johnny Depp. She confessed: "There's nobody that's ever really been able to take care of me. Johnny did for a bit. I believed what he said. Like if I said, 'What do I do?' - he'd tell me. And that's what I missed when I left. I really lost that gauge of somebody I could trust. Nightmare. Years and years of crying. Oh, the tears..."

Crying over a Johnny Depp breakup!? Nah we just can't imagine it!
