Disney Princesses Come To Life At Harrods: From Cinderella In Versace To Sleeping Beauty In Elie Saab

If last week’s royal wedding in Luxemburg has left you dreaming of a fairy-tale happy ever after, then get yourself down to Harrods on the 1st November when their latest window displays are unveiled, for a spot of inspiration.

The luxury department store has masterminded a collaboration between Disney and ten leading designers to create contemporary dresses for 10 iconic Disney Princesses. Each will be displayed within their very own magical worlds to really bring the fairy-tale to life.

Now who better than to dress Cinderella than Versace? The epic ball gown complete with golden layers, accessorised naturally with a glass slipper will leave the ugly step sisters mega jel. Aurora from Sleeping Beauty has gone all Countess Stephanie in a graceful pale pink Elie Saab dress dusted with a light sprinkling of beading. Meanwhile every celebrity’s go to red carpet label, Marchesa has gone under the sea to reinterpret Ariel from the Little Mermaid. The deep blue silk evening gown will surely leave Ariel casting off her tail for good. Meanwhile Escada have provided Princess Jasmine with the perfect Arabian attire for a magic carpet ride. The exotic fuchsia gown complete with extravagant gold floral belt places Aladdin’s Mrs in a whole new world! Even everyone’s favourite nature girl, Pocahontas has had a fash-over courtesy of Roberto Cavalli, with a one shoulder printed dress evocative of dream catchers. How could John Smith possibly resist?

This enchanting collaboration will surely bring a touch of Disney magic to the grey streets of London this winter. Who knows maybe, one day, your prince will come too!
