If you’ve ever found yourself staring longingly at a fashion editor’s wardrobe, you may want to hot foot it down to Kerry Taylor Auctions next month where one well-loved fashion-icon's garments will be up for grabs. That’s right – Joanna Lumley's having a clear out.
Lumley is selling 50 pieces of her personal wardrobe – including some things that she wore in AbFab – in aid of The Prince’s Trust. "I am giving up some of my greatest treasures and happiest memories," said Lumley. "I am so thrilled to think that the proceeds will all go to benefit young people through one of my all-time favourite charities - The Prince's Trust."
Do you fancy yourself Patsy’s pin-striped Dolce and Gabbana jacket? Would you love her Alexander McQueen vest top? Perhaps her Joseph polka dot top and faux leather skirt? Absolutely sweetie, and they’re all part of the auction that will take place on 13th November.
The pieces will be sold alongside outfits from Lumley’s own wardrobe including the Betty Jackson suit she wore to Prince Charles and Camilla’s wedding, and the pink Chanel suit she wore to lobby for the Ghurkhas. With estimates starting at around £100, it’s bound to be absolutely fabulous.
