Between her perfectionist tendencies and his laid-back philosophies, we have often watched Rachel Zoe and Roger Berman on The Rachel Zoe Project and thought their antics were something out of a prime-time sitcom. And while reality tv tends to blur, ironically, the line between 'reality' and scripted television, it seems our assumptions are correct, because both have signed on as executive producers for a fictional comedy based on their wild and crazy life.
Talks for the show are only in the stages of infancy, but the sitcom will air on NBC, Deadline reports. It is also known that Aseem Batra of Animal Practice will write the sitcom while Todd Holland of Malcom in the Middle fame will direct. No reports on when shooting will begin or when the show's expected to air, but this leaves the Grazia Daily crew time to speculate the most important question: Who in the world will play Rachel Zoe?!
We expect whoever plays Rachel Zoe will have been chosen with her stamp of approval, so we have a couple of suggestions for the Zoe-meister. Jennifer Aniston has already shown her comedy chops, and we'd love to see her take on a role of a glamour-fiend. Christa Miller of Cougar Town and Scrubs fame could put a great spin on Zoe's high-maintenance style. And while they may be polar opposites, we believe Alicia Silverstone could pull off a Rachel Zoe makeover.
We'll be snooping around for more details, but fingers crossed Rachel and the hubby are open to guest appearances. Rachel Zoe fan Anne Hathaway, anyone?! Who do you think could fit into Rachel Zoe's shoes?
