Carine Roitfeld Is The New Global Fashion Director Of Harper's Bazaar

12 October 2012

The fashion news circuits are operating in overdrive with the announcement of Carine Roitfeld as the new Global Fashion Director for Harper's Bazaar. The former Vogue Paris editor-in-chief has had quite the year, launching her cosmetic range for MAC as well as the launch of the acclaimed CR Fashion Book.

Now, this first lady of fashion will be marching into former enemy territory to collaborate with Harper's creative director Stephen Gen on the fashion stories for all 26 worldwide publications. We're very excited to see if Carine will stamp her 'erotic chic' style on the mag, but what does she think about her new title?

'I am thrilled to be contributing to Bazaar, a brand with a rich history of creativity,' she says. 'Working with Stephen and a roster of talented photographers will be a wonderful collaboration and one that will give these stories a truly global audience.' As excited as we all are, we'll have to wait until March 2013 to see Carine's new role in action, but we're sure it will be worth the wait. Until then, take a look at Carine's serious style triumphs in the gallery above!
