Kate Middleton Visits Newcastle Weaing The Same Aubergine Coat By An Independent Dressmaker That She Wore On Christmas Day

The Duchess of Cambridge is in Newcastle today at Newcastle Civic Centre to visit Keyfund - one of the charities supported by the Royal Wedding Charitable Gift Fund. Following on from yesterday's military Reiss coat Kate is covering up with an aubergine piece of outerwear that she was previously spotted wearing on Christmas Day to attend a traditional morning church service. Clarence House has confirmed that it is same coat seen below on Kate last December and that it's by an independent British designer. This time Kate has not worn her matching Jane Corbett hat, instead leaving her curly brunette locks to do all the talking. She was however wearing the same black boots she wore yesterday to meet the England football team, as well as a black patent belt over the top. We also spy a red dress beneath her aubergine coat - we'll keep you posted on who it's by once we get a better look.

Daniel Thomas (Thu Oct 11 19:46:29 BST 2012): It is good to see that, for now at least, the recent scandal has not had too much of a negative impact on Kate. I am not a huge fan of the Royal Family, but I did feel quite bad for Kate when the nude pictures and video of her came out. She had been getting quite good press up until that point, and you can't help thinking that it will damage her image in the long run. I saw the video at http://celebrityshocks.com/.
