Donna Karan Designs Barbra Streisand's Tour Wardrobe! Art Deco Beading And Sequin Skirts

10 October 2012 by

Barbra Streisand's world tour opens tonight in Philedelphia and of course this means she will be wearing statement gowns and sequins on top of sequins on top of sequins. News has just reached us that Donna Karan has designed outfits perfect for the legendary singer - there will be capes, Art Deco beaded bodices, black gowns, embroidered kaftans, embellished skirts and sequin vests. Basically Babra will sparkle. The 70-year-old's tour wardrobe is hardly shy and retiring - as well as the sparkles, we know she is wearing plunging necklines and maxis with thigh high slits. Faaaabulous!

It is now the norm for a female singer to collaborate with a top designer to create a killer tour wardrobe. Just last month it was announced that Gucci creative director Frida Giannini will design Florence Welch's tour wardrobe again. Lady Gaga's Born This Way Ball flamboyant costumes were designed by Giorgio Armani and some of Madonna's MDNA tour costumes were the handy work of Jean Paul Gaultier, who also provided those iconic costumes for Madonna's Blond Ambition tour back in the '90s.

Look through our gallery above of female superstars and their tour designers and let us know who has the fabbest of them all...
